Welcome to Beachouse Baking Company! We are a small family run business located in Lakeville, Massachusetts, in the heart of Cranberry Country, about 25 miles north west of Cape Cod and 40 miles south of Boston.
Our goal at Beachouse Baking Company is to produce the best homemade, food allergy friendly treats from the finest ingredients. All of our products are free of peanuts and tree nuts and made on site, so we control the freshness and quality.
We specialize in three product lines:
Hand crafted Baking Mixes: Our baking mixes make it easy for busy people to have delicious baked goods hot out of the oven without all the work. Each mix is made by hand one at a time, from time tested recipes, for homemade results. Food allergies or special diet? We have vegan friendly, gluten free and sugar free baking mixes available.
PMS Bars: Funny name for our unique oatmeal bar cookies that “help take the edge off.” Made with premium dark chocolate, a soft caramel or fudgy espresso, real butter, rolled oats and unbleached flour, PMS Bars come in 4 flavors: Chocolate Caramel, Espresso Chocolate, Cranberry Chocolate and Butterscotch. Food allergy friendly with no eggs and no peanuts or tree nuts.
Gluten Free Chocolate Yummies: An oatmeal truffle cookie in 3 natural flavors: orange, mocha and coconut. Made with premium dark chocolate, butter, gluten free oats and gluten free marshmallows for a melt in your mouth delight. Food allergy friendly with no gluten, no eggs and no peanuts or tree nuts.
Beachouse Baking Company was founded in 2011 by Laura Bailey, a former restaurant pastry chef, whose career spanned 15 years running the baking departments in several casual and fine dining restaurants in Concord and Manchester, NH and then Westwood, MA. Laura makes all of her products by hand from recipes she’s been making since her childhood and newer recipes she’s developed over the years. You can find her and her products at festivals, farmers markets and craft fairs along the South Coast of Massachusetts. You can also order online or call for local delivery.
Jose Invencio, Laura’s husband and graphic designer, creates all the product packaging, helps with production and helps out at events.
Why the name Beachouse?
“We love the ocean and staying at beach houses right on the water. We hope to own our own place at the beach.
Ever since I was a kid, my family would rent my uncle’s beach house, a five bedroom 1920’s era Victorian with a wrap around porch, in York Beach, Maine. For two weeks in August, I was in a different world. Spending every day out on the cliffs at the water’s edge fishing or looking for periwinkles, or walking Long Sands beach or shopping and playing in the arcade at Short Sands. It was heaven.
As we became adults, my two sisters and I would rent the beach house with our boyfriends and then husbands. Two weeks of family reconnecting in the huge old house, preparing delicious meals together and saving room for dessert. We’d relax in the wooden Adirondack chairs out on the porch overlooking the vast open Atlantic Ocean, hearing the waves crash, the seagulls screech, watching the lobster boats go by. Just a beautiful place to be!
Jose and I have rented many beach houses in different parts of coastal New England and on the eastern seaboard. The air and the energy at the water’s edge is just so captivating. Beachouse was just the perfect name for combining two things we love, great food and the ocean.”
